A Journey from Tired to Truly Happy
Riya was 15 years old and studying in Class 9. She was kind, helpful, and always dreaming big.
She wanted to become a teacher — not just in a rich private school, but in a way that helped children from poor families.
She had seen many smart and bright kids in villages and small towns.
They didn’t stop studying — they went to government schools.
But Riya knew those schools often didn’t have enough teachers, books, or time to give proper attention.
She thought,
“If I become a teacher who teaches with love and care, maybe these children will shine brighter.”
That was her dream. And she promised to make it come true.
😓 But Something Was Not Right…
Even though Riya’s heart was full of passion, her body was slowing her down.
She had:
Dark circles under her eyes
Dull, dry skin
Weakness after walking just 10 minutes
Constant tiredness
No interest in going outside to teach on Sundays
She was only 15…
But she looked and felt like she was 25.
Her friends teased:
“Riya, why do you look like a didi?”
Some teachers asked if she was okay.
She was doing social work but slowly stopped going for it.
Her body wasn’t ready — her energy was lost.
💭 One Day, She Sat Down and Thought…
“What happened to me? I used to be full of life.”
So, she took out her diary and wrote:
❌ What I Was Doing Wrong
🍟 Food habits:
Chips, cream biscuits, and chocolates every day
Maggi, noodles, burgers in the evening
French fries and momos from the school canteen
Cold drinks or sugary juice packs
Skipped fruits and vegetables
Ate maida-based food (pizza, white bread, cakes) often
Hardly drank water
📱 Lifestyle habits:
Slept after 12:00 AM while scrolling the phone
No walking, no play, no sunlight
Felt lazy and dull even before school started
💡 What Changed Her
One Sunday, she tried to go to the nearby tuition class for poor kids but had to stop midway — she felt dizzy.
A 10-year-old girl from the class saw her and said:
“Didi, you look tired. Please don’t stop teaching us.”
That small voice touched Riya deeply.
She thought:
“These kids believe in me. But how can I support them when I can’t even stand strong myself?”
She promised herself:
“If I want to change the world, I must first take care of myself.”
🌿 What She Did Next – Riya’s “Body First” Plan
She made small, powerful changes:
🛑 Foods Riya Gave Up & Why:
Food Why She Left It
Maida (pizza, noodles, bakery food) Hard to digest, causes bloating, no nutrition
Fried foods (fries, momos, samosas) Makes body lazy, oily skin, weight gain
Sugary items (cold drinks, chocolates, biscuits) Gives fast energy but drops quickly → tiredness, dull face
✅ Healthy Foods She Started Eating:
🍌 Banana, guava, apple
🥗 Dal, roti, sabzi (home-cooked)
🥛 Curd, buttermilk
💧 6–8 glasses of water
🥜 Roasted chana, nuts
🥣 Poha, upma, idli with vegetables
🌞 15–20 minutes of sunlight every evening
🌞 New Healthy Routine:
✅ Wake up at 6:30 AM
✅ Morning walk + stretching
✅ Healthy breakfast by 8:00 AM
✅ Homemade lunch at school
✅ Fruits or buttermilk in the evening
✅ Light dinner by 7:00 PM
✅ Sleep by 10:00 PM
✅ Phone time: Only 1 hour/day
🌟 Result After 1 Month:
Her skin started glowing again
No more dark circles
She felt fresh every morning
She walked with energy
She returned to teaching the kids on Sundays
Her teachers said,
“Riya, you’re shining these days!”
And when her students saw her again, they clapped and said,
“Didi is back!”
Riya smiled and said,
“I took care of myself… so I could take care of you too.”
🌟Moral of the Story🌟
If your heart wants to help others, let your body stay strong.
Junk food, late nights, and phones make you look older before time.
But good food, water, rest, and love for yourself bring back your real glow — from inside and outside.
