Avyaan and the Rain
Avyaan was a quiet boy who liked to sit near the window of his small room. His village had not seen rain for many weeks. The trees outside looked dusty, the ground was dry, and the air felt tired.
Avyaan’s mind also felt heavy. He often thought about things that made him sad—like the time his friend didn’t sit with him, or when he made a mistake in class. These thoughts stayed in his head like dust on the leaves outside.
One evening, as Avyaan sat by the window, he saw the sky turn grey. The wind began to blow. Then—drop, drop, drop—rain began to fall.
Avyaan watched with wide eyes. The rain fell gently at first, then faster. It washed the trees, cleaned the dusty leaves, and made little rivers in the ground. Everything looked fresh and alive.
As he watched, Avyaan felt something inside him. It was like the rain was washing his thoughts too. The worries, the sad moments, the mistakes—they didn’t feel so heavy now.
He remembered what his teacher, Shila Ma’am, once told the class:
“When rain falls on trees, they don’t hold onto the dust. They just let it wash away. We can do the same with our minds.”
Avyaan smiled. That night, before going to bed, he whispered to himself,
“Tomorrow is a new day. I don’t have to carry all the dust from yesterday.”
From then on, every time it rained—or even when it didn’t—Avyaan would sit by the window, take a deep breath, and gently let go of the old thoughts in his mind.
And just like the trees outside, he began to feel light, calm, and free.
🌟Moral of the Story🌟
Like trees let the rain wash away dust, we can let go of heavy thoughts. Each day is a new chance to feel fresh, happy, and free.
